Welcome to the Kiwi Garden Sheds website. We have worked hard to make it as user friendly and informative as possible. By purchasing products from Kiwi Garden Sheds, the purchaser (“The Customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions of sale.
Delivery Of Your New Garden Shed
Many products have a free delivery option, while others will cost you just a little bit more for delivery. We regret we cannot deliver to Islands (Waiheke, Stewart etc) only to mainland locations, and RD addresses will generally need to pickup from a freight depot in their nearest town.
Some products can only be delivered to the nearest Mainfreight or PBT depot and will need to be collected from there, where they will forklift it onto your trailer/vehicle.
Products that must be collected from depot are:
- Galvo and Garden Master sheds that include a kitset floor (if no floor then we can do home delivery)
- Garden Master sheds that are customised to include extra wall height
- All timber sheds
- All SmartStore sheds
Products that can be delivered to urban home addresses:
- Galvo sheds that do not include a timber floor
- Garden Master sheds that do not include a timber floor or have extra wall height added
We will advise in all instances if there is to be any extra charge over and above that shown within this website.
We will process your order the next business day after funds clear in our bank account. You shed will be manufactured (or picked off the shelf) and delivered straight from the factory. We will send you an email notifying you when your order has left the factory and is in the safe hands of Peter Baker Transport (PBT) or Mainfreight.
Many of our packages are heavy and/or bulky. The delivery truck will have a tail lift to lower the pallet off the truck onto your property. The truck will need solid, flat ground (concrete) to tail lift onto. The site must have easy access for the truck to get in and out of. We have no control over what trucks and equipment are used to deliver the order.
If you have opted for home delivery and the freight company determines that it is not possible for their truck to access the property and unload, we will refund the delivery fee you have paid, but we are not responsible for non-delivery or for arranging alternate means of delivery.
All goods are covered by the manufacturer’s warrant, the period of which is mentioned in each products description. This is up to 50 years in the case of garden Master products.
7 Day Money Back Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with your new shed, you can contact us within 7 days of delivery and request a refund. In order to organise a refund under these terms and conditions, the customer must e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The 7 day period will commence on the date that the customer accepts delivery of the shed. Where there is no proof of delivery, this date will be assumed to be 3 business days from the date of dispatch of the shed. The shed must be returned within 14 days of delivery at the purchasers expense. It must be in as new condition and in it’s original packaging. This does not apply to custom, built-to-order sheds unfortunately. A restocking fee may apply and freight charges will not be refunded.
Damaged Goods Policy
The freight companies take every possible care with your shed, but unfortunately sometimes damage does happen. If this happens we will sort it out in the shortest time possible. All we ask is that you thoroughly check for visible signs of damage at the time the goods are received. If there is, or if you even suspect damage, write “damaged” on the delivery docket and ensure the driver is aware of this. Then email us straight away with details of the problem. Even better if you can attach a photo as it helps us identify the damaged parts.
It is the customers responsibility to check for freight damage at the time of delivery to ensure damaged goods are replaced without delay. Delays in advising us of damaged goods may result in non-replacement.
That’s Not What I Ordered!
Once in a blue moon an order gets sent out that is incorrect. As above, let us know as soon as you can so that we can organise a replacement. We don’t want to hold you up from building your new shed any longer than necessary.
All prices included 15% GST and are in New Zealand Dollars. To keep costs to a minimum we prefer payment by internet banking. Credit cards can be processed through Stripe. There is a 3% surcharge for credit card payments to recover merchant fees.
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Where the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply, these terms will be read subject to the application of that Act, and in the case of any conflict, the provisions of that Act will apply.
Limitation of Liability
Kiwi Garden Sheds shall not be liable to the Customer for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages or costs arising out of or in connection with the purchase, use or performance of products. Delays in delivery through any cause are outside of our control.
The privacy of your customer data, orders and credit cards are important to us. We will not disclose or sell your customer data to any third party. We will only send you email newsletters if you explicitly opt in.
Incorrect Address Or Bank Account
If we incorrectly address your order we shall be responsible for the re-delivery or replacement of the product. If the Customer is found to have given an incorrect or insufficient address, then responsibility for correcting delivery will be borne by the Customer.
Kiwi Garden Sheds gives the customer the choice to pay for products through bank transfer. If the Customer credits money to the incorrect bank account number, and the correct number was provided to the Customer by Kiwi Garden Sheds, then Kiwi Garden Sheds will not accept any responsibility for correcting payment and the goods will not be dispatched.
Kiwi Garden Sheds takes every possible care when displaying products for sale, however colours displayed on a screen vary and may not represent the exact colours in reality. Kiwi Garden Sheds is not responsible or liable for any liability or loss incurred through the colours on the website not matching reality.
Once an order has been placed and paid for there is no cancellation of the order.
